You will always start with a stock tank that has a better gun already ready to go. This way, you never start off with a pure stock tank and have to grind it completely. Others that have a decent starting gun you want to up their speed if they are slow tanks, etc. Most tanks you want to upgrade to a better gun. That way when your starting a stock tank, you can use some of that free experience to boost the tank a little so it isn't stock right from the start. You always want to have a pool of free experience, the higher tiers you go, the more free experience you want to boost. Don't waste free experience on useless stuff.
